Agropoli is a popular seaside town in Campania, especially among Neapolitans. It has beaches, ice cream, a long promenade and a lively, noisy atmosphere. Pleasant enough — but nothing that truly stands out.
There isn’t much in terms of what to see in Agropoli, apart from he Lungomare promenade, which is nice for people-watching and gelato, the medieval borgo is tiny and typical, and the castle is very impressive from the outside.

One plus: right at the entrance to the borgo there’s a great little bar with a sea view.
If you enjoy the holiday ritual of “sitting, staring at waves and have a drink”, this spot will do the job.
And now the real question:
Is Agropoli worth a visit?
If you want a cheap beach holiday – maybe yes.
If you’re looking for something truly interesting – probably not.
I won’t be going back.
